Dr. Terrance G. Tindal
Terrance G. Tindal is a native of Summerton, South Carolina and a proud graduate of the historic Scott’s Branch High School. A lifelong learner and visionary leader, he has pursued a diverse and dynamic educational path, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master’s in Christian Education, and a Doctorate in Christian Leadership with a concentration in Educational Development. His academic journey spans Benedict College, Grand Canyon University, The Art Institute, Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, and the School of the Great Commission Bible College and Seminary.
Dr. Tindal has committed his life to public service, leadership, and community empowerment. He served faithfully as a Councilman for the Town of Summerton for 12 years, making history as its youngest elected official. His leadership extends to numerous roles, including former President of the Scott’s Branch High Alumni Association, former Youth Director for the Clarendon County Branch of the NAACP, and current Presiding Prelate of the Lighthouse Fellowship of Churches, Inc. He also serves as Executive Director of the iCare2 Anti-Bullying Program, Inc., and is a dedicated member of the Summerton Literacy Council.
In recognition of his service, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Public Service in 2010. In 2015, he was named among South Carolina’s Top 40 Under 40 African American Business Leaders by the South Carolina Black Pages.
A man of many talents, Bishop Tindal is also a Gospel recording artist and published author. He is the CEO of GèRome and Company, a premier event design firm, and serves as the Office Manager at King-Fields Mortuary. He is the visionary Founder of the Lighthouse Theological Institute and Seminary, equipping leaders for ministry and community impact, established in 2019.
